Most days that means reading something written by a company with a great deal of money riding on you not thinking about it too hard.<\/p><p>There are four groups shouting about AI right now. The ones who think it will save the world. The ones who think it will end it. The ones who want to own it. And the ones selling a course on it. None of them are right, and every one of them does better when you move fast.<\/p><p>Slow AI is the newsletter I write for everybody else. About 21,000 people read it. It is about knowing when to use these tools and when to leave them alone, which is not a question anyone selling you the tools will ask on your behalf.<\/p><p>The mark on this shirt is a pause. Two bars, the same two on every device you own. It makes a small argument: that you are allowed to stop before you use the thing, and that stopping is a skill rather than a failure to keep up.<\/p><p>If you know, you know.
